Quality Assurance (QA) Lead
Location: Kansas City Metro Area, Southern California (Orange County or San Diego County), Bend, Oregon or Raleigh, North Carolina

This position will be the start of a team conducting verification and validation testing of web-based, mobile enterprise applications including front end and back end testing. They will be responsible for writing, executing and maintaining software test plans, automated tests and unit tests as well as manually testing software. They must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to software testing and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and lead QA best practices patterns related to software release process
  • Work with engineering teams, product owners, and business analysts to define acceptance criteria per product within the SDLC
  • Define, implement, mentor and manage QA test practices:
    • Manual testing plans
    • Unit testing patterns
    • Performance testing plans
    • Continuous testing plans
  • Define and maintain QA reports: Acceptance, Regression, Performance
  • Participate in Change Control processes
  • Accurately record and clearly document all actual results compared to expected results
  • Communicate with developers, project managers and technical support specialists on product issues
  • Continuously adapt to evolving process guidance to support both the project and the test constituency
  • Perform other duties as required
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information System, with emphasis in Software Engineering with 3 years QA Engineering experience OR 7 years of QA engineering experience
  • 3 years of QA mentoring and leadership
  • Defined, implemented, managed Test Environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with test automation infrastructures
  • Experienced test case management: defining test suites, test plans, test authoring
  • Multiple platform experience across: Windows, Linux, OSX, Mobile
  • Data experience such as: MS SQL, Mysql, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
  • Testing Experience across various languages such as: .NET, Java, javascript, python, perl, nodeJS, maven, Junit, Selenium
Tools and Tech Expertise or Familiarity
  • Virtualization: VMware, VirtualBox, Proxmox
  • Cloud Solutions: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Continuous Integration: Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLabCI
  • Continuous Deployment/Orchestration: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker
  • Version control tools: GIT, Mercurial, TFS, Subversion, Perforce
  • IDEs: Visual Studio, Xcode, IntelliJ, Eclipse
  • Testing Tools, Frameworks: Ranorex, Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, JMeter, Fiddler
  • Scripting & build tools: Powershell, Bash, Maven, gradle, groovy, beanshell
  • Other IDE: Xcode, IntelliJ, Eclipse
